Karl Stuart and the Profile were originally called the Royal Crests and came from Scotland. They moved to London and landed a recording contract, changing their name to Karl Stuart and the Profile. After three singles and no success they changed their name again to the Voice.
Karl Stuart and the Profile recorded three singles for Mercury records. Two of them had credits to just the Profile.
